National Honor Society

Sponsor: Karen Cockell kjcockell@spsmail.org or 523-9200

Students are first considered for membership after three semesters of schoolwork, which must be at Parkview. Consideration for membership will be given to sophomores who may be selected for membership as a junior. More consideration for membership will be given to juniors who may be selected for membership as senior. Students with a grade point average of 3.8 or higher are considered. These students are asked to supply a list of their high school activities. A list of these students is submitted to the faculty for review. Non-scholastic traits are also considered. A faculty committee decides on the students to be invited into the society. Membership in National Honor Society is retained based on academic and disciplinary standards and by members participating in community service events benefitting Parkview.
